Donald Trump, government, media, peace, people, platform, Tax, US

Well, Donald Trump has been president for nearly two years.  During that time, he has lifted black employment, Hispanic employment, has enhanced spending on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), has enforced border security, has bought North Korea to the table for peace and de-nuclearization, has discarded the disastrous Paris Climate Change accord, has scrapped NAFTA, has Europe, Canada, China all offering much better deals for the US on trade, has forced NATO to pick up their tabs for security, has built up Africa Command, has provided support to our friends in Europe and the middle east, has beefed up support for our Asian allies, and is forcing China back from hegemony in the Pacific theater, has freed unjustly convicted people, including a black woman ignored by Barack Obama, has had North Korea return prisoners, has acknowledged Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, has increase take-home pay and arranged for bonuses for employees through new tax reductions for companies, and yet, what ahs the main stream media concentrated on: Activities that either happened well before he became even a candidate, or activities that have nothing to do with Donald, namely Russian collusion.

Donald had done more in the last over twenty months, than the last three presidents combined achieved over the last twenty years.  Over the cries of you can’t recover manufacturing to the US, new companies are starting and old companies are restarting factories.  Over the cries of renewable energy is the death knell of coal and oil, new coal mines are being opened and new veins of coal are being exploited.  New oil fields are opening, and once again, the US is fast becoming one of the biggest exporters of oil in the world.  Obama’s drop the mic moment during the 2016 presidential campaign was just another miscue by a president without a clue.  Donald Trump continually provides drop the mic moments that leave his detractors blinking in disbelief; the president always makes hi points, and doesn’t rely on talking points by learned scholars or focus groups.  Mr. Trump has only one focus group he relies on: The American People.  His rallies provide Donald all the feedback he needs.  And, unlike previous presidents, Donald will stop and talk to everyone, from kings and queens, to the smallest child on the street, no one is too lowly for our current president.

In 2020, when the question is asked, are you better off now than you were four years ago, unless you were asleep for four years, the only answer you can provide is a resounding yes.  Donald Trump is the first president since George Washington who actually completes the promises he has made.  And, he’s the only president or politician that has been pilloried by the main stream media for keeping his promise.  I am a deplorable, and I support this president. Now, and 2020…

Hacking, Leaking, The Media Is Missing The Point…

Everyone is up-in-arms about the so-called “Russian Hacking”.  “The Russians were behind the leaking of the emails!!”  “The Russians hacked into the Democrats emails!!” “The Russians tried to steer the election!!”  Pundits and opinion journalists, many on the left and right, are taking up the mantle of attacking “Outside Influences” who were trying to “shape the American Election”.  And Every Last One Of Them, Public And Private Speakers Both, Have Got It Wrong!!!

Why am I the only voice out here saying “I DON’T CARE WHO HACKED THE EMAILS!!”  If the Russians wanted to hack something, as well as the Chinese, I’m damn sure their actors are probably intent on our infrastructure, our industry, our finance, and those politicians currently in office who are corruptible and easily blackmailed.  Trying to do anything with our election would be akin to trying to stop the flow of the Mississippi River with a seine net: Ya gonna have to wait a few million years to see any effect.

You see, the real issue, the issue everyone and their brother are blithely ignoring is: IF HILLARY HADN’T HAD HER EMAILS ON A PRIVATE SERVER, BUT ON THE GOVERNMENT, STATE DEPARTMENT, EMAIL SERVER, SHE WOULD NEVER, I MEAN, NEVER , HAD HER EMAILS HACKED!!! IF THE DNC WASN’T COLLABORATING WITH HILLARY, THEY WOULDN’T HAVE THE EMAILS THAT WERE RELEASED!!!.

The truth is, Hillary Clinton used an ILLEGAL server to keep her emails private from scrutiny by the government that she WORKED FOR.  These emails are rightfully the province of the US Government, and should have been placed on government servers and archived properly for the official government records.  Yes, Hillary could have had a private email ACCOUNT, which is radically different than a SERVER.  An account is hosted elsewhere, with access by the government through necessary warrants.  Private emails have been used by other Secretaries of State, but NONE, absolutely NONE, have used a private SERVER. That is placing vital government security information OUTSIDE the security of government protection, and available for hacking, which is what happened.

Hillary Clinton knowingly, and with malice aforethought, decided to use a private server, knowing, herself, that this was a violation of several US laws, codes, and regulations.  Hillary signed a document acknowledging this.  And yet she decided to do this, even when she was reprimanding her own staff for using private emails themselves.  A case of “Do as I say, not as I do”.  Hillary Clinton and her team should not be amazed that they then are hacked by outside forces, regardless of who it is.  The DNC are clamoring that the Russians hacked their servers.  The problem is, the DNC are using this as an excuse to had the fact they collaborated to deny the nomination to any other candidate but Hillary.

This is the age-old case of trying to shoot the messenger for the message.  You cannot, just cannot, blame the hackers for the problems with the emails.  Hillary Clinton decided to place herself above the law, assuming that she was invincible.  The DNC played fast and loose with the Democrat nomination process and the run-up to the election.  These are incontrovertible facts.  Just because they came from hacked emails does not make them less so.  If Hillary wanted to have her emails protected, she should have NOT used a private server, but used a State Department email account, as others before her have done.  The DNC should have played fair with all of the candidates for the Democrat nomination, not structure the nomination to support only Hillary.

These are the facts.  No one who’s emails have been placed on public display have had the temerity to claim that the emails were, in fact, not theirs.  Not one denial has come forth. The truth is, no one should give a damn about WHO hacked the emails.  That is a Smoke and Mirrors ploy, used to distract from the real truth. The real truth is that Hillary Clinton used an illegal server to circumvent the government rules and laws concerning archiving of government correspondence.  The real truth is that the  DNC used illegal acts to circumvent nominating anyone but Hillary Clinton.  Personnel associated with the DNC and the Democrat Party flagrantly violated the trust, as well, in some cases, as the law, in paving Hillary’s ascent to the nomination.  THESE are the things that should have people riled up, as Americans.  We are supposed to have a fair and equitable system of governance, as well as the means of fairly selecting who we want to govern.  Hillary Clinton, as well as the democrat elites, strived to circumvent those rules we have in place.  This is what makes me mad.

I don’t care who hacked the emails.  Truthfully, if they weren’t there in the first place, there wouldn’t be a problem.  So the people we should be mad at, the ones that should be brought to justice, are not the hackers, but those who would attempt to subvert our system of democracy for their own personal power.  The hackers just showed us who they are, and what they were trying to do, nothing more…

The ISIS Issue…

ISIS is on the verge of claiming another town in Syria, one that could act as a launching point for attacks into Turkey, a NATO member. The Kurdish fighters who are besieged in this town are fighting courageously, holding out against odds that overwhelmed the Iraqi defense forces. US airplanes are bombing positions around the town, providing some relief, but the issue is not air power. The issue is ground support, support that should be coming from the coalition partners, to support the Kurdish fighters. Since barack Obama has denied US combat troops entry into the mission, this requires support from the coalition partners that will operate in Syria, namely the coalition of Muslim nations that have signed on for this effort. But there are no troops coming forward, and this is a bad thing.

We know it’s bad because of the tactical issue: without more support, the town may fall this weekend. But it’s bad on the geo-political strategic level, also. The Kurds are being hard-pressed, and need assistance. If the Muslim nations, UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, came to the aid of the Kurdish people, maybe there would be an opportunity for the long broiling resentments between the two peoples to be settled. The Kurds could feel that they can broker an agreement between themselves and the Muslim nations they live in, and the Muslim nations could get support from some of the strongest, most dangerous, and most organized fighters in the region. The president should have been working to foster that kind of agreement long ago, when he said no US combat boots on the ground. By supporting the Peshmarga in Iraq, and the Kurdish forces in Syria, as well as coordinating support between the groups and the Muslim fighters, maybe something could have been salvaged. As it is, we need to support the Kurdish fighters, as they are the only ones taking a concerted stance against ISIS and their splinter groups.

I do not say the Kurdish fighters are blameless innocents. The Kurds are ferocious, and courageous, and violent. The Kurdish fighters have fought Turkish and Iraqi military to a standstill, and would stop the Taliban in its tracks. Al Qaeda never attempted to subvert the Kurdish people, because the Kurds do not believe in their form of life. For the Kurds to be able to stand as they have, reflects the Kurdish lifestyle, and the hard path the Kurds have had to travel.

The administration’s strategy of bombing the ISIS fighters to “degrade and eventually destroy” ISIS only works if we are willing to use nuclear warheads. This is an unthinkable action. The use of airpower does not guarantee that ground will be captured, fighters on the ground will be subdued or eliminated, and gains will be achieved. Air power is only effective in concert with a coordinated ground campaign. And despite the many pundits elaborating on the media outlets, a ground campaign does not require the use of hundreds of thousands of troops. A decent infantry division, backed by sufficient air power, will make a severe impact and implode ISIS in its tracks. Unfortunately, we have a new-era democrat president, who believes that, like Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton before him, the military can be used piecemeal to affect “Political Changes”, despite the fact that military forces are not chess pieces for politicians. Instead of assigning a substantial number of military troops to support the air campaign, this president sends US troops into Africa to fight a disease. This president has watched Outbreak too many times. The US military is a strategic weapon of policy used to enforce decisions by the civilian politicians, or as a means of last diplomatic resolution to discussions of strategic importance. The US military is not a police or Emergency Medical Response force used to take care of those things that the president deems a problem. Use of the military in such actions degrades the combat effectiveness of the units involved, and reduces the capability of the military to respond to true military emergencies. The activities that president has ascribed to the US military would be better handled by the Public Health Service, the Center for Disease Control, Peace Corps, or any of the myriad NGOs set up specifically already for these tasks.

This president has the lowest approval rating of any president at this time of their presidency. He makes decisions based not on the needs of the country, but on political agendas. Meanwhile, in Syria and in Iraq, thousands daily are being killed, left homeless, or are fleeing one of the most horrendous groups since NAZI Germany. Even the Taliban’s efforts are paling in significance to what Baghdadi and his goons are doing, supposedly in the name of Allah.

If Islam is a religion of peace, as the president continually espouses, why are so many people raped, maimed, and killed in its name? Why are the Kurds besieged by this peaceful religion? When will the peaceful Muslims stand up and say “Enough! This Far and No Farther!” When?

Why Do We Need The United Nations? Part Two

Air Algerie, democracies, French, Gaza Strip, Hamas, Israel, Middle East, Red Cross, Ukraine, UN, United Nations, United States, US

Amazing!  The Air Algerie plane that crashed in Mali resulted in the United Nations sending troops immediately to secure the area.  French fighter jets swept across the crash site to inspect the disaster.  UN Peacekeepers will be on the ground making sure that the (mainly French) bodies are given respectful care, and that no one does anything to the crash site.  Meanwhile, in the Ukraine, no one from the UN has shown  the slightest bit of interest in securing the area, even though it’s been nearly two weeks since this disaster.  Rebel soldiers still impede the few international observers and searchers from the Red Cross, Malaysia, and the OSC-E.  Reporters typically outnumber the searchers and recovery experts, trampling on areas that have to be inspected.  Meanwhile, in the Middle East, Hamas continues to use UN built schools and hospitals to hide their rockets and mortars and other war-making paraphernalia in.  And then, the UN is stunned when the Israelis earmark these sites for destruction.  In Iraq, ISIS is slowly working its way down south, to wreak havoc on the people and military which Obama decided to leave without the necessary training.  In Mosul, Christians are told to either convert to Islam, pay a tax, or be executed.  Explosives are detonated in markets in all of Iraq’s cities, targeting the civilian populace.  What does it take to get a UN Peacekeeping mission moving?

The United Nations was founded in 1947 to establish a world-wide network of nations dedicated to promoting peace and harmony throughout the planet.  After the horrors of World War II, most people were tired of war, and fearful of nuclear disasters.  The charter for the UN was drafted and signed to put an end to such disturbing situations.  The major problem with the UN, however, was not its lofty ideals.  The problem was the mechanism for implementing security measures.  The UN abdicated responsibility for securing peace around the world by setting up the UN Security Council in such a way as to prevent the use of its military (let’s call a spade a shovel here) force from enforcing its decrees.  The UN, unlike NATO, prevents itself from entering into places with military assets by a simple veto of any permanent member of the Security Council.  So, if China sends expeditionary forces to seize islands in the South China Sea, the UN has to put forth a resolution to send forces to support the islands against such an invasion, and China simply vetoes it.  Nothing can happen.  This is why there are no troops securing the area in the Ukraine.  The UN would have to put forth a resolution to move troops into the Ukraine, and Russia would just veto it.  The UN could put forth a measure to send troops into the Gaza Strip to demilitarize it (remove heavy weapons from Hamas), but Russia, China, or France would veto it.  It would be the same for Iraq and Syria.  So, how did the UN get forces to move in Mali? Interestingly enough, there were already troops in the area as part of an ongoing peacekeeping mission.  The French then requested support, and, voila’, there they were.  Amazing, isn’t it, how that works?

The UN’s role is supposed to be to provide humanitarian relief, support for nations, training, and security.  However, due to the Machiavellian maneuverings of the bureaucrats and “diplomats” assigned to the UN, the UN’s primary role is to suck up cash from the donating countries, impede progress through the use of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) primarily made up of fuzzy-headed do-gooders who do more damage than good, as well as family members of the bureaucrats and  “diplomats” assigned to the UN, and stop progress in places where people who originally did at least subsistence level farming, now rely on handouts from various UN or UN-sponsored NGOs.  The UN has not lived up to any of its charter’s goals.  The UN had nothing to do with the collapse of the Berlin Wall or the end of the Cold War.  The UN had nothing to do with the cessation of violence that plagued the Balkans in the 90s after the end of the Cold War.  The UN has done nothing to stem the tide of terror flowing through the Middle East or Africa, except where its primary benefactors have an interest.

The United States, as well as Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Germany, Israel, all like-minded nations, who are interested in real security in this world, should all pull out of the United Nations.  The US should evict the UN from its building sitting in New York, reclaiming that space for better use.  All UN delegates, their families, and their “servants” should be evicted from the US, and sent to Geneva, the other UN site, to allow the UN bureaucrats to leave in peace, and give the Swiss something to worry about.  Then, all the like-minded nations should form a new coalition, dedicated to true humanitarian aid, with true force backed up.  Since most of the security forces generally come from the nations that are listed, it shouldn’t be a problem to get a ready-action force built to quell the hot spots on the planet.  The overriding mandate would be to provide security for those who cannot get it from terrorists, humanitarian aid for disasters, natural and man-made, support for training the indigent population instead of making the indigent population welfare basket-cases, and aid for fledgling nations, and even fully-developed nations, to continue to build and support themselves.

There isn’t a need for a league of nations that cannot, or will not, provide support for the peoples of the world.  This is a crime against humanity, and humanity are the ones paying the price.
