Donald Trump, government, media, people, president, presidential cabinet, Presidential Election, republicans, UN, USA

On November 8th, 2016, the impossible became possible.  The man that everyone laughed at, the media, the politicians, the pundits, the elitists, they all laughed uproariously when Donald Trump threw his hat into the ring. “Apprentice??!!” they laughed. “Wild hair and twitter” they snickered.  “He’s never held a political office and doesn’t know what politics is all about” they harrumphed.  His escapades made all the Main Stream Media cackle, and the liberal/progressives scream in delight.  The Republican Establishment haughtily sneered down their noses at this pretender.  “We have Jeb Bush lined up for the canonization, how dare this fraudster come amongst us and smearing our good name” they disdainfully declared.  But just like dominoes, one by one, the Republican contenders dropped out.  This so-called ‘fraudster, uncouth gangster’ showed more class in his support of one of his opponents than the entire Republican establishment showed anyone, when, at the start of the debate, Dr. Carson’s name was called  The doctor didn’t hear the call, but, Mr. Trump, instead of walking by, waited with the good doctor, and walked in together with him.  The rest just smiled and smirked and passed both by, but Donald Trump waited with Ben Carson.  This was the inkling that America had of what The Donald was.  Just because you have something, doesn’t make you better than anyone else.  If Donald had thought that, he would’ve passed Ben by.

This is what America voted for.  Not someone with flowery speeches of airy ideas about pie-in-the-sky dreams.  They voted for someone who cares.  Yes, Donald Trump blusters, but he picks carefully what he blusters about.  His detractors and naysayers and Never-Trumpers never understood that.  Donald spoke to the heart of people who had been left behind by the elites in both parties, the liberal/progressives, and a president that spoke only to his clique.  Donald spoke about the greatness of America, and Donald spoke to the pain of the small town, middle class, white, black brown, yellow, and green (military) Americans, who have been bypassed and marginalized by a liberal minority intent on shrinking American influence and prosperity in the name of ‘globalization’ and ‘one world government’ under the auspices of the UN.  Just as the UK did in the BREXIT vote to the EU, Americans rejected the idea of UN governance of our country.

Clinton’s supporters all claim this was jury-rigged by Russian hackers releasing damaging emails.  They claim, as well as Hillary, that, based on the popular vote, Hillary is the rightful heir-apparent and should be crowned president.  And, as usual, they are wrong.  The election wasn’t lost because Russians hacked Hillary’s emails.  The emails were just the icing on the cake.  Hillary Clinton was a flawed candidate to begin with.  Hillary had none of the charisma and ease with people that her husband, Bill, had.  Hillary’s confidantes continually said, “If you knew the real Hillary, you’d see a different person”. The problem is, unless you WERE a Hillary confidante, or a big-money donor, then you would NEVER see the ‘real’ Hillary.  Too many people, all the low-level scrubs, saw their real Hillary.  She was a vehement, sarcastic, foul-mouthed person that expected people to grovel when she approached.  This is why she never felt like visiting the Rust Belt, or the Bible Belt.  The Clinton campaign lost because they lost touch with the people.

Donald knew what the people felt.  He visited, not the big states of California and New York over and over again, but the states where manufacturing and industry had fled.  Where people, young, old, black, white, brown, etc., were hurt and hurting, because there weren’t any jobs.  Companies being run by accountants were outsourcing jobs, bringing in visa workers, because they were ‘cheaper’.  Foreign governments, primarily China, were devaluing their currency against the dollar to influence their old school buddies to move work to their countries.  Donald saw this, and he worked to give people hope.  The left claimed that Donald was fear mongering. No, Donald was HOPE mongering.  As a businessman, Donald knows that you are only as good as your word.  What he offered people at his rallies was not clichés, not vague promises. He offered his word, and he offered hope.  Hope to all of those who have been literally disenfranchised by the political system.  Hope that tomorrow will be better for them, for their children, for their grandchildren, and for the future.

One of the things that Donald made sure of at his rallies was his people, those who voted for him and supported him knew throughout his campaign, that this was not going to be easy.  This was going to be painful.  But he guaranteed, this was going to happen.  This is the reason that people voted for The Donald.  They didn’t vote in ones and twos; they didn’t vote in dozens and scores.  No, the people, no, the movement voted in the thousands and millions, renouncing the Obama/liberal/progressive agenda.  The American people voted for real change that would benefit them.  The American people voted for someone who stabilize their country, return America back to it’s place as the premier superpower, and help to provide for a prosperous country.  The reason that The Wall rang out so clearly and so succinctly is that the American people, both natural and naturalized, feel that we don’t have a handle on our borders. The borders being wide open symbolizes, for many Americans, the draining of American resources out of the country, and the rampant invasion of our country by people who have ill intent on our way of life.  Donald Trump’s declaration “We Will Build The Wall!” symbolizes our desire to take our country back from those who would attempt to destroy it, enemies both foreign and domestic.

Donald Trump, the gag of late night shows, the snub of the elites, the so-called misogynistic, racist, hate-mongering guy with the most racially diverse, sexually-diverse coalition since Ronald Reagan, is now President-Elect.  Donald has worked to keep American jobs in America, forgoing his Thanksgiving, has received thanks from a democratically-elected president that the left deplore, and has made more cabinet picks in the first four weeks than any other president-elect in recent history.  Sure Donald likes twitter a little too much.  But Donald Trump has achieved more SOLID actions in his first four weeks than the preceding president has in the last eight years.

If this is how Donald Trump is before he’s actually sworn in, imagine what he’ll be like as the official President Of The United States.

borders, Christians, civilians, Gaza Strip, Hamas, iraq, ISIS, Islam, Israel, Palestine, Palestinians, Qatar, Taliban, UN, United Nations

Israel is under attack. On the one hand, Hamas is raining rockets onto the country, intent on fulfilling its mission of wiping Israel off the map. On the other hand, the United Nations is intent on obliterating Israel’s voice against terrorism and attacks. Meanwhile, proper, upstanding, righteous countries (yeah, right) around the planet are attempting to castigate Israel for defending itself. Meanwhile, Hamas continues to use hospitals, schools, and mosques to hide and launch rockets, mortars, and build and attack through tunnels into Israel. But Israel is the bad guy.

Israel is a country that has a right to survive. Israel has a right to defend its borders and its people. Benjamin Netanyahu deserves the world’s support against these terrorists. Hamas is killing its own people, the Palestinians, who protest against Hamas use of civilian buildings to hide weapons and rockets. The world is turning a blind eye to the atrocities being committed by Hamas, focusing on the nearly 2000 civilian deaths from the Israeli bombing, deaths that would not have happened if Hamas had not put these people in harm’s way. Not since the days of Yasser Arafat has such an organization been so blatant in its desire to inflict harm on its own people in attacking Israel. And yet, the UN, a consortium of nations that is supposed to help quell issues like this, will not raise one hand, not even a finger, to stop Hamas. Qatar, one of the richest nations in the region, actually funds Hamas’ continuing terror tactics, under the guise of tithing to Hamas’ “humanitarian” efforts. If Qatar was truly interested in supporting such efforts, it should give the funds to the Red Crescent, or to the Gaza government directly, with stipulations that the funds are managed under a joint UN/Israeli/Gaza government oversight committee. Not going to happen. Qatar and Turkey, along with Iran, get to kill people without having to get blood on their hands, or so they think.

Islam, as a religion, would be a good religion, if it truly were one of peace. However, radicals are using the religion as a means to kill, torture, rape, murder, and subjugate people. That this is happening on a scale that would make Hitler proud is truly disturbing. That a group is dedicated, not to the overthrow of a government, but to the total annihilation of a people, is appalling. That the United Nations, founded on the ideal that the Holocaust can’t happen again, yet is turning its back on Israel, speaks volumes. And that liberals and progressives, who profess their love for their fellow man or woman, would condemn Israel for protecting itself, while attempting to elevate Hamas to the level of martyr, is truly disgusting, appalling, and disturbing. Hamas, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, all are synonymous with terrorist dehumanizing behavior. At one time, the world was dedicated to stamping out these blights on human life. Now, these same organizations are held as shining examples to young Arabic children, while hiding the killing and torturing these diseased terrorists perform. And the feminists that attack men anywhere else in the world, are strangely silent on the behavior of Islamic men to Islamic women. The silence is deafening from N.O.W., and any other feminist movement. The Arabic sheiks have lions, leopards, cheetahs, hawks, falcons, horses, dogs, which they all treat with whatever abandon they wish, yet I have yet to hear of one, yes, ONE, demonstration by PETA or GreenPeace against the sheiks of the middle east. However, let SeaWorld help one sealion, and the screams are heard around the world about abuse of animals.

The above is why I have no patience for those who would defend Hamas. Hamas is no different from ISIS. When there was a demonstration against Hamas’ use of civilian structures for protecting weapons and Hamas’ command centers, fifty, yes, 50 of the demonstrators were executed, for “Crimes Against Palestine”. Not much different from ISIS beheading Christians in Mosul for being Christian.

I stand beside Israel. Israel has a right to defend itself against anyone who would encroach upon its sovereignty. Israel has a right to defend its people against those who would attack them, either through rocket fire or through sneak attacks from tunnels. And Israel has a right to enter areas where those attacks are coming from, to root out those who would do Israel and its people harm, and to kill or capture them. If the people of the Gaza Strip are willing to allow Hamas free use of their structures to hide in, the ONLY people they can blame, for any atrocities or attacks on women and children, are themselves. If they don’t wish to stand up to Hamas, they will receive the treatment they deserve, whether by anti-rocket fire and shelling to remove the origin of the attacks, or by being held in thrall to Hamas, and their way of life. For, if the people of the Gaza Strip do not do something about Hamas, they will soon be living like the people under the Taliban: No singing, no dancing, the women held as a third-rate citizen, subject to their husbands’ or families’ wishes, and soccer stadiums used for mass executions. It’s already happening in Iraq.

Air Algerie, democracies, French, Gaza Strip, Hamas, Israel, Middle East, Red Cross, Ukraine, UN, United Nations, United States, US

Amazing!  The Air Algerie plane that crashed in Mali resulted in the United Nations sending troops immediately to secure the area.  French fighter jets swept across the crash site to inspect the disaster.  UN Peacekeepers will be on the ground making sure that the (mainly French) bodies are given respectful care, and that no one does anything to the crash site.  Meanwhile, in the Ukraine, no one from the UN has shown  the slightest bit of interest in securing the area, even though it’s been nearly two weeks since this disaster.  Rebel soldiers still impede the few international observers and searchers from the Red Cross, Malaysia, and the OSC-E.  Reporters typically outnumber the searchers and recovery experts, trampling on areas that have to be inspected.  Meanwhile, in the Middle East, Hamas continues to use UN built schools and hospitals to hide their rockets and mortars and other war-making paraphernalia in.  And then, the UN is stunned when the Israelis earmark these sites for destruction.  In Iraq, ISIS is slowly working its way down south, to wreak havoc on the people and military which Obama decided to leave without the necessary training.  In Mosul, Christians are told to either convert to Islam, pay a tax, or be executed.  Explosives are detonated in markets in all of Iraq’s cities, targeting the civilian populace.  What does it take to get a UN Peacekeeping mission moving?

The United Nations was founded in 1947 to establish a world-wide network of nations dedicated to promoting peace and harmony throughout the planet.  After the horrors of World War II, most people were tired of war, and fearful of nuclear disasters.  The charter for the UN was drafted and signed to put an end to such disturbing situations.  The major problem with the UN, however, was not its lofty ideals.  The problem was the mechanism for implementing security measures.  The UN abdicated responsibility for securing peace around the world by setting up the UN Security Council in such a way as to prevent the use of its military (let’s call a spade a shovel here) force from enforcing its decrees.  The UN, unlike NATO, prevents itself from entering into places with military assets by a simple veto of any permanent member of the Security Council.  So, if China sends expeditionary forces to seize islands in the South China Sea, the UN has to put forth a resolution to send forces to support the islands against such an invasion, and China simply vetoes it.  Nothing can happen.  This is why there are no troops securing the area in the Ukraine.  The UN would have to put forth a resolution to move troops into the Ukraine, and Russia would just veto it.  The UN could put forth a measure to send troops into the Gaza Strip to demilitarize it (remove heavy weapons from Hamas), but Russia, China, or France would veto it.  It would be the same for Iraq and Syria.  So, how did the UN get forces to move in Mali? Interestingly enough, there were already troops in the area as part of an ongoing peacekeeping mission.  The French then requested support, and, voila’, there they were.  Amazing, isn’t it, how that works?

The UN’s role is supposed to be to provide humanitarian relief, support for nations, training, and security.  However, due to the Machiavellian maneuverings of the bureaucrats and “diplomats” assigned to the UN, the UN’s primary role is to suck up cash from the donating countries, impede progress through the use of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) primarily made up of fuzzy-headed do-gooders who do more damage than good, as well as family members of the bureaucrats and  “diplomats” assigned to the UN, and stop progress in places where people who originally did at least subsistence level farming, now rely on handouts from various UN or UN-sponsored NGOs.  The UN has not lived up to any of its charter’s goals.  The UN had nothing to do with the collapse of the Berlin Wall or the end of the Cold War.  The UN had nothing to do with the cessation of violence that plagued the Balkans in the 90s after the end of the Cold War.  The UN has done nothing to stem the tide of terror flowing through the Middle East or Africa, except where its primary benefactors have an interest.

The United States, as well as Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Germany, Israel, all like-minded nations, who are interested in real security in this world, should all pull out of the United Nations.  The US should evict the UN from its building sitting in New York, reclaiming that space for better use.  All UN delegates, their families, and their “servants” should be evicted from the US, and sent to Geneva, the other UN site, to allow the UN bureaucrats to leave in peace, and give the Swiss something to worry about.  Then, all the like-minded nations should form a new coalition, dedicated to true humanitarian aid, with true force backed up.  Since most of the security forces generally come from the nations that are listed, it shouldn’t be a problem to get a ready-action force built to quell the hot spots on the planet.  The overriding mandate would be to provide security for those who cannot get it from terrorists, humanitarian aid for disasters, natural and man-made, support for training the indigent population instead of making the indigent population welfare basket-cases, and aid for fledgling nations, and even fully-developed nations, to continue to build and support themselves.

There isn’t a need for a league of nations that cannot, or will not, provide support for the peoples of the world.  This is a crime against humanity, and humanity are the ones paying the price.

Why Do We Need The United Nations?

Boko Haram, freedoms, Gaza Strip, Israel, liberty, president, rights, UN, United Nations

The world is stunned by the shoot down of MH17. The world is rocked by Israel’s invasion of the Gaza strip in order to protect itself from the cowardly terrorists that hide behind woman and children. The world is reeling from the ISIS’ invasion of Iraq, and its takeover of Syrian gas fields. The world is mourning the kidnapping of hundreds of young women and girls, and men and boys being butchered, by Boko Haram. The world is aghast at Iran’s attempt to get nuclear weapons. The world shudders every time North Korea launches more missiles.

There is one problem with this. With all the horror and terror going on around the world, where is the United Nations? The United Nations is supposed to be the authority to resolve all of these issues, so Israel doesn’t have to invade someone just to keep her citizens’ safe. The United Nations is supposed to be able to intercede when someone does something horrible, like shoot down a civilian jet with nearly 300 people on board. The United Nations is supposed to be the agency that steps in when a failed country can’t protect its citizens, by providing protection, so murderers and butchers can’t steal women and children and sell them into slavery.
The United Nations gets billions of dollars to perform services. Where does that money go to? The UN doesn’t pay for the land its buildings sit on. The buearacrats and the workers are all paid for either by their own countries, or siphoned off funds that are supposed to be used for humanitarian aid. The military assets that support the UN are drawn from partner nations, so the UN doesn’t pay for that. Medical support for various “charities” is paid for by other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), so the money doesn’t go there. The Secretary General can’t make anyone come to the table and settle their disputes. Anything that comes up to vote can be vetoed by any permanent member of the Security Council. So what good does bringing anything up for a vote matter? More issues get vetoed than ever get passed. What is the UN good for?

The UN is an anachronism, a worthless organization that does nothing for world peace and stability. Even when UN Peacekeepers go into somewhere, the Peacekeepers have more restrictions on them than an ordinary military force. The UN Peacekeepers have been butchered and no one is held responsible for the actions, and the Peacekeepers aren’t allowed to retaliate. The UN has to be “allowed” to investigate when a nation is breaking international laws, and the countries that are the worst offenders don’t let the UN into their borders. The UN observers have no real authority or power to do anything, and are even more subject to the “laws” od the offending country than the country’s own citizens. As a result, observers are routinely denied access to any sensitive areas which they are supposed to be investigating and observing. And forget about securing a democratic vote by the UN.
In this day and age, when we need someone to take a firm stand, and force recalcitrant countries to behave themselves, there is nothing. The UN, a grand idea like the League of Nations, was supposed to provide a bulwark against the barbarism of outlaw countries. There hasn’t been one instance where the UN has made a difference. And if you say Korea, there isn’t an armistice or a peace treaty there. We have a truce, which can be shattered at any time by North Korea. In Cyprus, there’s a demarcation point, but the UN didn’t achieve anything there. The UN was useless in the Balkans, and worthless for saving lives in Africa. The only thing the UN is, is a buearacracy that is fooling the world with smoke and mirrors.

We need a strong presence to held straighten out this mess of a planet we all reside on. The US must step up and takes its place, its role as the world’s prominent superpower. And this means that the president has to stand up and become the leader he is supposed to be, supporting Israel in her efforts for a peaceful existence, supporting the Ukraine in its fight to remain a free and independent country, and reclaiming the Crimean peninsula, sending troops and a stern message into Iraq, that ISIS is a terrorist organization and we will smash it, supporting the Syrian people who want to be free, and supporting the African continent by bringing to heel organizations like Boko Haram, and training and equipping African forces to help them support their countries.

Yes, America must stand up and be counted. The UN can be discounted, and discontinued, because it doesn’t do anything for world peace and stability. Only the US can, with help from our friends and allies. If we don’t stand up, we will be trod on. Our rights, our freedoms, and our liberties will be stomped on, all those which we have bought with our precious blood and treasure.

angelina jolie, Birthday Honors, Dame, queen, UN, violence, war

It seems incongruous that newspapers and news services are allowing so many “specialists” the coverage they get.  For me, the pinnacle, I thought, was the selection of Angelina Jolie to be a Dame of the British Empire.  The reason for her selection: Her work on reducing sexual violence as a tool of war.  That’s as preposterous an idea as any I have ever heard.  Maybe those who are committing atrocities in Africa, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, South America, all are following new guidelines: We don’t commit sexual violence.  And the middle east will settle down, Palestine will become a peaceful nation, all the countries in the middle east will sign a peace agreement with Israel, and Iran will stop trying to produce a nuclear weapon.

To expect someone to convince the dictators, terrorists, and other evil people not to use the best terror weapon they have is like taking an ice cube to the devil: not going to happen.  Sexual Violence in war is a given.  No matter the fine words that are spoken in the UN, in front of all the hollywood elite, and to all the progressives in Europe and America, will not change a thing.  Giving someone an award for pretty speeches does not alleviate the horror that is being perpetrated daily around the world.  If Dame Jolie wants to make a difference in sexual violence in wars, let me see her don a helmet and IBA (Individual Body Armor), pick up a weapon, and go into those villages and cities where Islamists, terrorists, thugs, bandits, and hoodlums are, and protect those who are weak and helpless, who have no one to protect them.

I know that Miss Jolie is an adored member of society.  By adopting so many children from around the world, she shows her caring side.  It’s easy to show you are caring, when you don’t have to sacrifice your life style.  Its easy to be seen as benevolent, when you don’t have to spend your days, every day, fighting to survive.  All of these so-called philanthropists do nothing more than give away less than they make in a day, and the progressives and liberals think this is such a great thing.  Meanwhile, in villages in Nigeria and Ukraine, in cities in Chad and Syria, the terrorists are laughing as they force women to perform obscene acts, then cutting off heads, at best, cutting off appendages, including women’s breasts, and performing mutilations on the women.  Even men are not safe, as bandits and rogues in many places see any man not with them, as nothing more than women, and will rape them to make sure the men feel less than a man.

If Miss Jolie wants to prove herself, let us see her give up making her movies, and instead, devote her life full time to fighting the violence.  If Miss Jolie wants to be considered more than just another fluff-brained air head, who’s inconsequential mutterings are supposed to mean something, let us see herput down her mantle as movie celebrity, and do something concrete.  Miss Jolie has no credentials that prove her worth.  But, hollywood and the tabloids have never based their slavish devotion to anything that makes sense.

When we begin to be rational about what war and violence is, then we can have a rational debate, and maybe, just maybe, we can do something about war.  But man is irrational when war is the issue, and violence must always be met with violence to end wars.  Speeches and wringing hands about sexual violence as a tool of war does not, I repeat, does not do anything.  It just makes for pretty, and pretty empty, words.
