It’s truly remarkable about the Republican party. We’re fighting to get the presidency, and the Republican leadership is whining about Donald Trump being the front runner. All of you sitting there chiming in, most of you are not old enough to remember Ronald Reagan. I remember the Ol’ Gipper. And I remember the harsh words from the Republican leadership then: He’s a has-been B-grade actor, what does he know about “real politics”. This has-been actor got the Soviet Union to back off, bought real prosperity to millions.
And before that has-been actor, there was Richard Nixon. We’d had the military, under the Great Society president, hamstrung. Johnson wouldn’t let our military do their job, everything had to be handled from DC. Our troops were taking hills, then orders from DC, not from Saigon, or the battalion, made us give back hills our men fought and died for. Richard Nixon, as one of his first acts, mined Haiphong Harbor, then instituted massive bombing and troop attacks, which bought the North to the Paris Peace Talks, and paved the way for our troops to come home. None of this hand-holding that Johnson was doing.
Donald Trump is a successful businessman. If Romney had issues, he had a Year, yes, a YEAR to make this known. The Republican leadership had Donald sign an oath to abide by the selection process. Now the leadership is acting like they belong in the democrat party. Donald has fought his way to this position, and the leadership needs to BACK HIM, not try and tear him down. If Cruz and Rubio have issues, they need to shove those issues in their back pockets, and stand behind the man in the lead. They signed the same oath, so, now they’re gonna go back on their words? Shows the kind of politicians they are, no different than Hillary and Bill Clinton: As long as it is for me, it’s okay, but when it’s not, I’m gonna cry and take my ball away.
Republican leadership: Do what you’re supposed to do. Get behind the front runner, give him the massive support, so we can win this. Anything else you do, shows the Republicans that are out there, that you’re no different than the democrats. This may make those who, for the first time in years that have come out for the party, decide to create a party of their own, and I think they would be able to get Trump elected, because that party would have Republicans, Democrats, and Independents of all race and sexes voting for Donald, who seems to be the only one who listens to the people, and who has plans to clean house in DC.  Do you want to be part of the crew, or do you want to be swept away?

I have been quiet over the last few weeks. This isn’t because I haven’t had anything to say. On the contrary, there have been so many items to go over, that I’ve felt a great surfeit of choice…sorta like being at the buffet on a cruise ship, and trying to pick just one thing to have.

We have had ISIS push hard to wreck and destroy Syria, but stymied by one town, right on the Turkish border. Makes a difference when you stand up to oppressors doesn’t it? ISIS/ISIL have found out what true determination is, bleeding their troops against a wall of determined Kurdish people who know the meaning of the word oppress, and refuse to subject themselves to a tyrannical state. Shame we can’t get out president on board with this. Shame the Turkish barely supports this. What does Erdogan think? If Syria falls, then Turkey is safe?

We have Ebola running rampant through several West African nations. The way the Africans handled it? They imposed quarantines and refused exits and entries into their countries. Borders were sealed, and house to house investigations were performed. The result: An immediate decrease in the spread of Ebola in those countries that did this. What did Mr. Obama do? Refused to implement any type of controls, resulting in at least one infected person that we know about, slipping into the country. We have a doctor floating around New York city, a city that already had one major traumatic incident (9/11), and then suddenly finding out he had Ebola. And who could forget the nurse who returned from a highly infected area, but considered it an infringement of her liberty to be held in quarantine. Yet while in Africa, this same nurse thought nothing of maintaining quarantine. What was the difference? Nothing, except her arrogance.

We have had the mid-term elections, elections that Mr. Obama claims that while he wasn’t on the ballots, his policies were, and the decisions would be shown by the American public. Yet, when the Democrat party was soundly routed in the ballots, Mr. Obama, as usual, changed his rhetoric. According to him, the reason the Democrats lost was that Mr. Obama’s demographics were ‘disenfranchised’ and that only older white people voted. Last time I checked, I was and am classified as Black, and I voted. So did quite a few people I know. The people spoke, and the people want our president to act as a president, not as a king. The last king we had in America was Dr. King, and he would be ashamed of the policies of this president.

All in all, the last few weeks have been enlightening. Mr. Obama claims mightily that he will not send combat troops to Iraq. Yet, we are sending up to 3000 combat troops to West Africa to assist in Ebola operations. Our troops are for combat. If you want to send qualified health care experts to combat disease, there’s the CDC, the Public Health Service (a uniformed service organization), Peace Corps, etc., that can be sent instead. Use the proper tools in the proper place. However, the emperor-in-chief deigns to push his forces where he may.

The latest Labor Dept. numbers for jobless claims show there is a fall in the number of claims. Okaaaayy…..and this means what? The true indicator of an employment rise is the number of permanent jobs added. However the Labor Dept., and well as several other well-meaning but short-sighted organizations, use jobless claims as an indicator of job growth. Unemployment claims, or rather, the lack of claims, prove one thing, and one thing only: People have reached the limit of their claims and cannot claim any more benefits. That’s like saying the water in a leaky bucket remains at a constant low, because no extra water is flowing in. That disregards the holes in the bucket that keeps the water leaking out at the same constant rate as the water going into the bucket. The current spin specialists in this government have gone overboard trying to make Obama look good. So far, they’ve managed to raise him to mediocre.

Yes, there is plenty to aim at with the tailings of this lame duck presidency. Let’s see: Mr. Obama wants to use executive action to resolve the immigration issue. Hmmm, seems that Mr. Obama is treading on the Congress’ prerogatives. I believe that the Supreme Court recently issued a ruling that it is up to Congress, which is the federal government, to enact and enforce immigration laws. This was the ruling that invalided some of Arizona’s laws concerning immigration. So, if it’s the Congress’ responsibility to enact and enforce the laws, according to SCOTUS, how can the president suddenly decide it’s his job? The answer is, he can’t. Executive action can only be applied to laws that are already in place, or in areas that are the executive’s portion to make a decision on. Since this isn’t a treaty, an executive order implementing any immigration reform or changes is invalid upon signature. Mr. Obama oversteps his authority as president. Let’s see, what else? Mr. Obama is now sending more troops to Iraq. Again, he states these are only for training. However, Mr. Obama hedges his bets by saying that if he were told that the ISIS/ISIL were transporting a ‘nuke’, he would be forced to send in combat troops to intercept and/or destroy said device. Short step from there to, if we see a possibility of harm to the people of the US. Can’t seem to keep your promises, but then again, Obama never said ‘If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor’ either.

I said before, and I’ll say again, Mitt Romney should have been voted President. Mitt’s advisors did him a great disservice by not letting him be the man he is. Mitt’s advisors should have taken him to the inner cities to speak with those inner-city leaders and let them see the man he is. His advisors should have allowed Mitt to speak in all the debates in the same manner as he did in the first one, and people would be able to see that Mitt is a man who cares for his country, above all else, and is not an egotist of the highest degree, like the current president. Mitt’s advisors failed him. I hope that Mitt Romney will take up the baton again, and strive for the presidency. I believe that Mitt can be what America needs to retrieve her image, and her allies, from the mess the current president has put us in.

Liberty, Not Just Democracy (Warning: A Rant on the Current Administration and Congress)

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. “- Benjamin Franklin

Liberty, like freedom, is a concept that is alien to many of those outside of our country. Liberty means more than just the freedom to spout on about the issues of the day. Liberty means also defending, not just your right to say what you want to say, but to also defend your opponent and their right of what they want to say. Liberty, like freedom, isn’t free.

America has a long history of those who have stood up for the rights of the people. America has a long history of those who have also stood up for the rights of the individual. It is a core value of our country, and we defend that value, and we treasure our rights as free men and women as jealously as a miser treasures his gold.

But with our liberty comes our obligations. The right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” comes with its own price. And America has always been willing to pay that price. Always. Two times against the British, once against the French, once against the Spanish through their surrogates, once against our own brothers on our own soil, twice against German imperialism and ambition, twice against communist aggression, twice against a sadistic madman hiding behind Muslim values, once against a terrorist regime that dared to strike against unarmed men and women. Each time, the Tree of Liberty’s roots have been watered with the blood of those who refuse to bow down to those who would cause terror and deny Liberty and Freedom.

Our government representatives are supposed to be as selfless as the nameless faces that go forth to protect, not just our way of life, but the lives and freedoms of countless others throughout the world. Our government representatives are supposed to be as fair and impartial as they can be, in governing our country, and in insuring our way of life is protected. Our government’s only role is to enact laws that allow our freedoms and liberties to be unencumbered with those ideals and activities that are diametrically opposed to the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the several Constitutional Amendments. Our judicial representatives are supposed to interpret the law such that there is nothing that superimposes itself upon our liberties and our freedoms, resulting in a loss of those freedoms. And our executive representatives are supposed to insure that the freedoms and liberties we have fought and died for are represented whenever our villages, our towns, our cities, our states, and our country need to be represented to the world.

Our government was formed of the people, for the people, by the people. It is, and always has been, incumbent upon our elected leaders, to insure that laws are passed that are not in direct violation of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the several Amendments to the Constitution. And yet, in the last 20 years, many laws, Executive Acts, bills of attainder, et. al., have been produced, steadily eroding the rights and liberties we Americans hold dear. The right to bear arms, a formidable right, to insure that a well-trained militia would be available for support of our various state and federal forces, has had attempts to erode it, time and time again, without request for a Constitutional Amendment. An amendment is required as the right to bear arms is a sovereign right guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. An income tax is not part of the Constitution, and for good reason. It is, as laid out in the Constitution, incumbent upon the legislative arm of our government, to create a budget and pay for the government through taxes and levies against businesses and to extract customs and excise from the flow of trade through the US border. And yet, our legislative body would prefer to strain the tree of liberty for the lifeblood of the average American, to support causes that do not enhance the life and liberty of the common American.

It seems in the inescapable rush for the current administration and the current congress to force America to become a nation catering to every concept except that which made America the driving force it is today, the current dominant party has decided to ignore the mandates of their own main-stream constituents, as well as those of the other major as well as minor parties that constitute our political landscape.

Although America has been able to recover from the excesses of the various parties at different periods throughout its existence, in this current period, we are faced with a monumental issue of the congress abdicating its responsibilities as the representatives of its people, in favor of currying favor with special interests, unions, the great group of people who live off the handouts from the government and refuse to partake in finding worthwhile jobs ( as opposed to those who have no other option to take welfare, but are working hard to improve their lot in life), those who feel that everything except conservatives have a right to have their feelings and sensibilities considered, in short, all the groups that have been instrumental in holding back the progress of America, increasing Americans dependence on government support, and reducing the ability of the average American to pursue their hopes and dreams.

Liberals have waited 40 years to put into practice at a federal level, every plan that failed at a local or state level. If the 50 states couldn’t or didn’t make the ideas work, how is the federal government going to achieve this, except through mandatory actions, and use of the military to enforce the actions. Of course, the current government won’t call it that; it’ll be “for the good of the people.” How many dictatorial regimes have used the same phrasing to strangle and remove the rights of the people? How many of our civil liberties will we give up to allow the government to try the failed experiment of socialism that plagues Europe and Eastern Europe. When do we say “Enough, this far and no farther”?

America, land of the free, home of the brave. But we have those who feel that our way of life is wrong, our decision to defend what we hold dear to be wrong, our basic freedoms in this republican democracy is wrong. To those I say: Leave. I will pay your way to whatever country or nation you feel is much better than the US. I’ll send you first class, one way. If you cannot look at your country without shame, you don’t belong in this country. I won’t call you a traitor, unless you do something that hurts Americans, in the US or abroad. If you wish to succor the enemies of the US, please, feel free to join them wherever they are. But do not cry, when you find that the freedom to speak your mind, that you take for granted, is brutally repressed by those who don’t want to hear you. Don’t be surprised when you and your family are abused and all your wealth is confiscated, for the government’s pleasure, in the nation you decide to live in. However, don’t be surprised, and do be grateful, if you call to the US to help you go home, and the brave and selfless men and women of our great military risk life and limb to bring you and your family back to the US.

For then you will know what freedom means…

“For our so called politicians If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget ye were our countrymen. ” Samuel Adams

Civic Responsibility

America, congress, freedom, justice, liberty, president, representatives, senators, USA

America’s economy is the worst it has ever been, outside of the ’30s. The US economy is trillions in debt. Millions of people are out of work, not even looking for a job. We currently have the highest number of people on welfare, ever. People who are working have part-time jobs, or the jobs are paying lower than they should be. Taxes are higher that they have been in years, to support an entitlement structure that awards those who won’t work, by taking from those who do. Health care is abysmal, because it costs too much. The Affordable Health Care Act has resulted in those with decent health care plans, losing those plans. There are agencies in the US government that are abusing their powers. We have illegal aliens massing on, and crossing, our borders, and the administration wishes to provide them with a comfortable life. But, congress and the president are now taking their summer break, ostensibly because of all the hard work the two groups have put in over the last four to five months. And let’s not forget: China now owns 22 Billion dollars of US real estate. CitiGroup has been fined seven billion dollars for its part in the mortgage debacle. Yet not a penny will go to those who have lost their homes through the major banks’ fiddling with the system. But, congress and the president are going on their summer break.

We must do something about this. Our first step should be, to go to our representatives and senators offices, and demand accountability for their lack of action. We must demand the congressmen and women meet with their citizens, and explain their actions or inactions during this latest session of congress. We must give these people, our elected representatives, our demands, and force them to take us seriously, and force them to take action. We must call, write, email, our elected representatives, and show them we care that there has been no action on the things we hold congress accountable for.

Alas, I don’t think this will happen. I don’t think, as a matter of fact, I know, that civics, and civic duties, are not taught in schools as they used to be in the past. The young voters of today, those 18 to 27 or 28, have not been taught that it is a responsibility of citizenship of this country, to take part in the civic process, not just by voting, but by being involved in that which is happening in your neighborhood, your town or city, and your country. No, there will only be the vocal few, the ones that know they can get their own ways by being in front of the congress as much as possible. The rest will talk about how hard it is to get information (in the information age), how much time it takes (though most can find time to head for the beach, or the club) or that nothing they say will mean anything (of course, the same people will spend all day talking about what they would do if they could). Now is the time to stand up, for, if not, you lose your chance to speak, maybe forever.

The USA is a country where anyone can achieve anything. We are a country where we are not afraid to speak our minds, and this is enshrined in our constitution. Yet, if we don’t speak up, if we don’t make our representatives in congress listen to us, we will lose. We will lose our freedoms, our liberty, and our sense for justice for everyone. And there will be an elite, made up of those from both sides of the aisles, who will force us to become, that which we fear: A country no different than any other dictatorship anywhere else in the world. We cannot let our light dull, we must continue to be the beacon for the rest of the world.

Our country was built by people who fled persecution in other countries. Our country was, and is, built on the concept that all people who live here, live here in freedom. We have paid the price, in blood, sweat, and tears, burying those who have fought for our freedoms and liberties. By allowing congress to not do their work, to let congress have free passes, when we have those who have watered the tree of Liberty and Freedom with the blood of their bodies, makes a mockery of their sacrifices. We must barrage our elected representatives to do what we sent them to Washington to do: Represent us, and fight for our rights. For if we do not, we, the electors of our freedom, will have caused those who died for us, those who shed their blood and bodies for our freedoms, to have sacrificed in vain.

Why Impeachment Is Not A Bad Idea

As I watch the current administration constantly abuse the rights of US citizens, making amazingly arrogant decisions to open our borders to those who mean harm to our country, ignoring and abusing our allies’ trust in us, and leaving our allies to fend for themselves, I wonder why impeachment hasn’t been implemented. Then, I listen to the talking heads on television, read the comments of “wise speakers” from both sides of the aisle, and I realize the reason. The Republicans are scared that maybe the democrats will play the race card and scare the American public even more.

This president and / or his administration and cabinet, have caused an astounding amount of serious damage to the national security of the US, infringed on the civil liberties of the average US citizen, and agencies headed by personnel selected by the president have infringed, intruded, obstructed, and caused irreparable harm to the US, its citizens, and its allies. As the chief executive of the United States, as commander in chief of the armed forces, and leader of the cabinet of secretaries that perform the administration of the executive branch of the federal government, the president is the person who is responsible for any and all actions by all agencies his personnel lead.

President Harry S. Truman had a famous sign on his desk: The Buck Stops Here! Harry felt that anything that happened in his administration, was his responsibility. He never shirked from doing the right thing, no matter how painful, and he took responsibility if something happened on his watch. John Kennedy felt the same way, accepting his role in the days of October, as well as accepting his role in the Bay of Pigs disaster. Richard Nixon opened relations with China, helped to bring an end to the Vietnam war, thawed relations with the Soviet Union, but Nixon was about to be impeached due to actions performed by his re-election campaign and the missing 18 minutes of recording in his office. Nixon did the honorable thing, and resigned, to prevent the country from being embroiled in a nasty fight. The country had only recently left the harsh and damaging 60s behind. Because of William Clinton’s wandering eye, impeachment proceedings were begun against him. Clinton knew that he was supposed to adhere to a higher standard, but could not stop himself from skirt-chasing. Clinton was impeached, not because of his lecherous habits, but because he lied under oath about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

Impeachment of the president is the tool that is available and used by the legislative branch of the federal government to stop the abuses of the executive branch. To wit: Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Also: In 1970, then Representative Gerald R. Ford defined impeachable offenses as “whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.” This president has, based on the above definitions, committed numerous impeachable offense, both high crimes, and misdemeanors.

Impeachment of the president has to be done. With a logical, reasonable, straight look at the activities of the president and his cabinet, obama has performed the most egregious examples of overreach of any president in history. Congress has a duty, and a right, to vote out the Articles of Impeachment to stop the overreach of the executive branch of the United States. The Republicans cannot let the shrieking cries of the television talking heads, as well as the murmurs from their backers, to hold them back from this effort. The Republicans must not listen to the left scream about “racial hatred” and “criticism of the president is treason”. Impeachment of the president is one of the tools that congress has to rein in the power of the presidency. The House of Representatives must use their powers to help correct the abuses of this administration. The House and the Senate must do their duties, despite what the left screams about. The representatives and the senators were elected to legislate laws for the American people. The representatives and senators should not listen to naysayers who would try to make a case that consideration of impeachment plays into democrats hands. Impeachment plays into no one’s hands, but represents the legislative branch’s authority to hold accountable a president that has attempted to set himself and his cabinet above the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights, and the people of these United States of America.

The Republican Party: Time to Move Forward…

administration, congress, democrats, media, One Platform, One Voice, people, Republican Party, senate, spokesman, TEA Party

The Republican Party is the true party of the people. The Republican Party, just like the Republic, for which we stand, stands for independence of the individual, the right to pursue your dreams, without interference or intrusion by the government. Unfortunately, the Republican Party is suffering a crisis of identity, spurred on by the mainstream media.

The Republican Party has been about lifting yourself up and improving yourself. The party has been about helping those who Want to help themselves. The party has never, or it used to have never been, about giving something to someone who can help themselves. The Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party is the part of the Republican Party that says, Enough Already!! The TEA Party is not another party, trying to face down the two mainstream parties. As such, the TEA Party should be working with the rest of the Republican Party on a platform that encompasses the beliefs, ideas, and goals of the Republican Party as they should. And there’s a good reason why I say this.

The Republican and TEA party are currently being defined, not by their platforms, but by the Democrat Party. The democrats are consolidating all of their mainstream media activists, as well as their local, state, and national mouthpieces, into one voice, constantly shouting the negatives, falsely, of what the Republican and TEA party groups are. The democrats are working to increase the divisions between the two groups, actively working to make people think the Republican Party is disjointed, anti-civil liberty, anti-poor, anti-everything. Instead of working together to counter this onslaught, the two groups are actively reinforcing the claims of the democrats, effectively sabotaging their own efforts to build a solid base and fight the democrats’ attacks.

The Republican and TEA party MUST put aside their petty concerns, their desire for one-upmanship, and their shrill attacks against each other. These attacks serve not the Republican or TEA party. These attacks against each other serve the democrats. In a time when we are rapidly having the democrats perform slash and burn against the freedoms and rights our forefathers fought and died, both here and abroad for, the divisions that the democrats have foisted on our party is leaving the Republican party weak and defenseless, with the leaders of the parties attacking each other. In the meantime, the democrats are rallying around and defending one person, providing a strong support for that person.

Here’s the game plan that the Republican and TEA party need to follow:
1. Select one person to stand behind. All of the main Republican leaders believe in the same things. Determine the most prominent, most effective, and best speaker among the group be selected as the leader and rally behind this person, male or female. This person would be the spokesman for the party, as well as the person that would help determine policy directions on the local, state, and federal platforms. Everyone would need to get behind this person.

2. Develop a platform that encompasses the ideals and goals of the party. This platform must be a middle of the road, moderate, platform, that shows good values and can appeal to a broad range of the party. This development is not difficult to achieve. The first step is to remove egos, and senses of entitlements, from the development.

3. Develop the message. That means insuring that the media has the message. There are media organizations that will send out our message. But, we must have a coordinated, concerted, directed message that can be understood. This also means that the people designated to speak the message, always coordinates the message. This also means getting the message out, not just to the core of the party, but to those you want to bring into the party. This means going places that the party hasn’t gone before. This means talking to people who believe the government is helping them, but is really keeping them down, whether they’re in the inner cities, or in the rural areas living in a mobile home. We are all Americans, and we should all hear the message properly.

4. We should have the one voice attacking the negative images that are being shown of the party. That means attacking those who would denigrate us. That means no longer turning the other cheek. Yes, the good book says, if someone would strike you, turn the other cheek. However, the same book says we must protect ourselves and those who cannot protect themselves. In the same book, it says, he shall help those, who help themselves. Let us help ourselves, and move our country forward.

Yes, these are the same plays from the playbook of the democrats. And the democrats are using these procedures to destroy all of our candidates. And we are assisting them in this, when we should be fighting as hard as possible. Fighting this does not mean individual attacks against a monolithic target. Guerilla tactics only work when you have a chance of causing damage to the ones you’re attacking. Guerilla tactics only work in real warfare. For what the party needs, we need to be organized. We need to have the TEA and Republican party reunited.

If we are going to squabble, argue, and fight among ourselves, we will continue to lose. We will lose not just senate and congressional seats, but the respect of citizens, and cause more people to leave the party. One thing I have found, in talking with everyone who have voted in the last several elections, is that people have had no faith in our party. Although the people have no faith in the current administration, and in the democrat party, because we refuse to be one party, fighting each other instead of our common foe, the people who voted see our party as weak and divided, with no clue of what to do. We need to be one party, with one voice, and one platform. Or we should just give up and become democrats.

I, for one, don’t think so.

Illegal aliens, or as the Main Stream Media likes to call them: Undocumented immigrants…

The problem of illegal aliens has been around for some time. Trying to stem the flow of illegal aliens pouring across the border should be one of the top priorities of this administration. The white house should be working hand-in-glove with congress to resolve the situation. In any other country, the border would be manned by the military, border crossings would be guarded and crossers would face in-depth scrutiny, and anyone picked up sneaking across the border would be jailed and deported, sometimes after lengthy and unpleasant jail terms.

In this country, the federal government interdicts local and state government, preventing incarceration and deportation of illegal aliens. The federal government is busy moving illegal aliens around the country, providing free medical care, and free housing, for these illegals. The president refuses to take responsibility for his actions. And, because the congress, the legislative body of the United States government, is not taking any actions due to the president’s refusal to sit down with congress and discuss options, obama has decided he can take executive action.

Illegal aliens do not have any rights under the US constitution. The only obligation the US has, is to deport those people as soon as they arrive, not allow appeal after appeal after appeal. No other country on the planet allows such as this. If someone wants shelter in another country, there is usually refugee status they can achieve. Of course, that means following the legal path, which we have true immigrants doing every day. We cannot allow others to skip to the head of the line on their ability to sneak across the border. We are doing a disservice, not only to those who applied, waited for sometimes years, and finally made it here, but those who came through Ellis Island, suffering through their own deprivations and problems before arriving here.

This president, more than any other, should be hard at work on securing our border. The son of an African father and US mother, obama should understand the issues of illegal aliens, and the problems illegal aliens caused. After all, obama spent considerable time with his mother in other countries that were plagued with those issues, with the result of seeing illegals living in abject poverty. That alone should have reinforced his desire to maintain the US’ sovereignty. Instead, obama is attempting to destroy our borders and unstem the flow, virtually putting the US under siege from various groups that want to invade, yes, invade our country.

If obama doesn’t pull back from the precipice of unlimited illegal aliens, we may well be in the position of being unable, not unwilling, but unable, to secure our borders against a true invasion against someone who wants to do us serious harm. Others may scoff, but I leave you with this thought:

If we can’t stop a bunch of children from illegally entering our country because we’re not protecting our borders, how are we going to stop a real army division complete with tanks and armored personnel carriers? The Border Patrol only have SUVs.

Why We Must Fight The Affordable Care Act, Or Obamacare

Affordable Care Act, Bill of Rights, congress, constitution, Fines, HHS, Internal Revenue Service, ObamaCare, Supreme Court, Tax

I have been amazed, over the last two to three years, about how the Affordable Care Act hasn’t been fought against harder. This is truly an unconstitutional act, to force US citizens to have health care. For individuals to Have affordable health care, you do NOT mandate that everyone has to have health care. You work on those who provide the health care, and make those costs affordable.

I believe this act is unconstitutional on the following grounds:

1. Nowhere in the US Constitution, the bedrock for all the US laws, does it state that health care must be provided to any individual. Our individual rights, as laid out in the Bill of Rights, mandate that individual citizens, unless the individual oversteps others’ rights, have the right to life, liberty, and the Pursuit Of Happiness. Notice that it states specifically, the pursuit of happiness. No one can dictate what happiness is to any individual, each person’s idea of happiness is separate from each other’s. Nowhere in the constitution, or the Bill of Rights, or any amendments, is there a right to health care. Health care is an individual decision, not a right. Voting is a right, not an individual decision. Health care is a privilege, based on your ability to pay for and receive health care. Because hospitals perform health care for individuals who can’t afford this, when these individuals show up emergency rooms, does not mandate that others must pay the bills for these individuals. There are thousands of medical professionals being graduated every year. To pay off their debts, especially if these individuals went to school on a government scholarship or loan, these individuals should be mandated to set up and work from a clinic located in those areas where people are too poor to afford health care. This used to be done, in days long ago, when Americans had civic pride. It should be mandatory, backed with fines and prison terms for those medical professionals who do not wish to participate. After all, as President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the last great democrat president said, “Ask not what your country can do for you…Ask, what can you do for your country…”

2. The slim twig that the Supreme Court used to attempt to validate the Affordable Care Act is, indeed, a very slim twig to have an entire law hang from. The slim twig is thus: The Act is legal because congress has the authority to levy taxes on the public, and as such, those fines are in actuality, “taxes”. Since this is now a tax, congress can mandate this under the commerce department in the congress’ role as tax collecting authority for the federal government. This twig breaks, and loudly, because: You Cannot Tax Anyone For Something They Have Not Purchased!!! This is akin to having someone come into a car dealership, admire a Rolls-Royce, but then have to pay the taxes on the car because you didn’t buy it. Or, if you decided to go to a grocery store, roamed the aisles, then decide you didn’t want to buy anything. But you couldn’t leave the store until you pay the taxes on everything you looked at, even though you don’t want the items.

These are just two of the reasons I can think of for the, let’s call it what it is, Obamacare Act to be unconstitutional. Any organization, any individual, DOES NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT have to pay any fines, taxes, levies, etc. Why? Because these are not legally mandated fees for a lawful Act or Law. The constitution details what a legal law is. No matter how any lawyers or judges try to skim around this one law, the Affordable Care Act, and all of its rules and regulations, are illegal. A first year law student should be able to fight this in court, all the way to the Supreme Court, with ease. The ACA imposes an unlawful fiscal burden on individuals and on businesses, demanding that individuals suffer the weight of a system the individuals did not have a hand in working on, their representatives did not have a hand in shaping, and individuals did not have an opportunity to have a meaningful discussion on. As such, as in the Tea Act which resulted in the establishment of our great country, we, the taxpayers of the US of A, are not beholden to support the ACA, or to be subject to any penalties this act ascribes to us.

If we do not fight against this act, in our entirety, and have this unlawful imposition removed, we will be subject to more and more punitive acts and laws that will, along with the other issues affecting our country, cause us all to succumb to a system that prevails over all aspects of our life.

There’s Something Wrong Here…

Brownsville, china, congress, George W Bush, Harry Truman, humanitarian crisis, ISIS, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, obama, russia, syria

The president announced that he was going to congress to get $500 million to buy equipment and train Syrian moderates fighting Assad. obama announces over the weekend that he will request $2 billion for the “poor children coming across the border, a great humanitarian crisis”. In none of these announcements did the president say anything about fixing these problems. The president is big on identifying problems to put up as an issue or crisis, but not so big on actually fixing anything.

Let us start with the money to aid the moderates in Syria fighting Assad. In 2012, the president said that “there is a line that must not be crossed”, and Assad immediately crossed it. Both the president and then-secretary of state hillary clinton, as reported by NBC News on 20 Aug 2012, stated that the red line must not be crossed, or there would be enormous consequences. Apparently, those consequences were to have obama and hillary talk even more about consequences. The only thing obama did was that he authorized $50 million for the rebels, to be used on “non-lethal support”, which worked out to be for communications equipment, some vehicles for transport, and what ever else that could be considered “non-lethal”, whatever that is. With repeated denials of support for the rebels, there was only one way this was going, and it went that way. The radicals and ISIL terrorists started taking more and more control of the rebellion. It was only a matter of time before this leaked over to another, fairly unstable country, Iraq.

Now, let’s talk about the “humanitarian crisis” on the US southern border. Anyone who didn’t see this coming spent most of their time in a real dream world. The DREAM (or rather NIGHTMARE) Act was supposed to be used for those who were bought here illegally by their family, who were pursuing a better life, and give them a pathway to eventual citizenship or at least a green card. While I sympathize with those who were bought here with no option to stay behind, this Act was not the way to go. However, for all of those children that are now flowing over the border thinking they will be eligible for the dream act, the proper response is to deport them back, chartering a ship or two and loading them on board, as fast as possible. As a matter of fact, we should be doing this to illegal aliens, anyway. Any other country does not tolerate, will not contenance, such an act as allowing illegals to come across. Check what happens if you try to slip across the border in China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, India, Iran, Kuwait, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Brazil, Portugal, Chile, hell, even Mexico. All of these countries, and more, will throw you in prison, regardless of your age, submit you to hard labor, then deport you, after fining you. There are no such things as allowing illegal aliens access to driver’s licenses, housing, you name it.

The president wants to waste 2.5 billion dollars of your tax dollars supporting something that doesn’t do anything for oour country strategically. The money spent doesn’t support our country tactically. The money will go to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), who will waste multitudes of the money on administrators, on helpers, on counselors, and the money going to the Syrian moderates will wind up paying for new weapons and atrocities by ISIL/ISIS. This president thinks this makes him appear as a resolute, determined person. The reality is, this makes him look like an uninformed, ignorant, community organizer. Although this president has a Harvard education, somehow, he never shows it.

This administration should be removed as soon as possible. By stepping back from the world stage, and allowing Russia, China, and Iran to gain a foothold, this president has effectively crushed our country’s image world-wide. No other country seems to have any respect for the US. Currently, Russia has delivered five, count them, five fighter jets to allow the Iraqi military forces to attack the insurgents. The state department has been putting all sorts of red tape and buearacracy in the way of US companies and US military equipment providers to support the Iraqi people. Yet, at the same time, Iran, Russia, and China just ask, What do you want? I know the president doesn’t wonder why we have no influence. It’s because he never wanted the US to have any influence. His assertion that Maliki wouldn’t provide the SOFA terms the president needed to keep troops in place, turns out to be quite a lie, considering that it took the president about two days to reach the same agreement to send 300 military trainers into Baghdad. To allow the flow of children across the border, calling it a humanitarian crisis, is also quite a lie, as people have been flooding across the border more and more over the last two or three ears since the dream act became known in countries south of the US. This is a travesty, made more revolting by nancy pelosi’s crocodile tears over the “humanitarian crisis”.

The people of the US of A need to stand up and demand an accounting from their representatives and senators. John Boehner’s suit against the president is not enough. There should be articles of impeachment drawn up. Harry Truman famously had a sign on his desk that said “The Buck Stops Here”. Everything that is done by the administration, and the cabinet, is the responsibility of the president of the United States. Spiro Agnew knew about responsibility, this is why he resigned. Richard Nixon knew about responsibility, that’s why he resigned. George W Bush knew about responsibility, he bore it with grace and humbleness we have not seen since. This president does not believe in responsibility. This president believes he is the anointed of God. This president is just another man, who has man’s fallability. The president is generally held to a higher standard than the regular politician. As such, this president has failed us in the US, reducing the standard of living, wrecking the US economy, and withdrawing our country’s support and leadership from the international stage. We must take this person out of the office. We have the legal and judicial means. The Supreme Court has again struck down as illegal acts of the president. If the congress cannot act on these issues, it is time to remove the congress, and put in place a new one. Elections are coming up soon. Let’s push now!!!
