Why Do We Need The United Nations?

Boko Haram, freedoms, Gaza Strip, Israel, liberty, president, rights, UN, United Nations

The world is stunned by the shoot down of MH17. The world is rocked by Israel’s invasion of the Gaza strip in order to protect itself from the cowardly terrorists that hide behind woman and children. The world is reeling from the ISIS’ invasion of Iraq, and its takeover of Syrian gas fields. The world is mourning the kidnapping of hundreds of young women and girls, and men and boys being butchered, by Boko Haram. The world is aghast at Iran’s attempt to get nuclear weapons. The world shudders every time North Korea launches more missiles.

There is one problem with this. With all the horror and terror going on around the world, where is the United Nations? The United Nations is supposed to be the authority to resolve all of these issues, so Israel doesn’t have to invade someone just to keep her citizens’ safe. The United Nations is supposed to be able to intercede when someone does something horrible, like shoot down a civilian jet with nearly 300 people on board. The United Nations is supposed to be the agency that steps in when a failed country can’t protect its citizens, by providing protection, so murderers and butchers can’t steal women and children and sell them into slavery.
The United Nations gets billions of dollars to perform services. Where does that money go to? The UN doesn’t pay for the land its buildings sit on. The buearacrats and the workers are all paid for either by their own countries, or siphoned off funds that are supposed to be used for humanitarian aid. The military assets that support the UN are drawn from partner nations, so the UN doesn’t pay for that. Medical support for various “charities” is paid for by other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), so the money doesn’t go there. The Secretary General can’t make anyone come to the table and settle their disputes. Anything that comes up to vote can be vetoed by any permanent member of the Security Council. So what good does bringing anything up for a vote matter? More issues get vetoed than ever get passed. What is the UN good for?

The UN is an anachronism, a worthless organization that does nothing for world peace and stability. Even when UN Peacekeepers go into somewhere, the Peacekeepers have more restrictions on them than an ordinary military force. The UN Peacekeepers have been butchered and no one is held responsible for the actions, and the Peacekeepers aren’t allowed to retaliate. The UN has to be “allowed” to investigate when a nation is breaking international laws, and the countries that are the worst offenders don’t let the UN into their borders. The UN observers have no real authority or power to do anything, and are even more subject to the “laws” od the offending country than the country’s own citizens. As a result, observers are routinely denied access to any sensitive areas which they are supposed to be investigating and observing. And forget about securing a democratic vote by the UN.
In this day and age, when we need someone to take a firm stand, and force recalcitrant countries to behave themselves, there is nothing. The UN, a grand idea like the League of Nations, was supposed to provide a bulwark against the barbarism of outlaw countries. There hasn’t been one instance where the UN has made a difference. And if you say Korea, there isn’t an armistice or a peace treaty there. We have a truce, which can be shattered at any time by North Korea. In Cyprus, there’s a demarcation point, but the UN didn’t achieve anything there. The UN was useless in the Balkans, and worthless for saving lives in Africa. The only thing the UN is, is a buearacracy that is fooling the world with smoke and mirrors.

We need a strong presence to held straighten out this mess of a planet we all reside on. The US must step up and takes its place, its role as the world’s prominent superpower. And this means that the president has to stand up and become the leader he is supposed to be, supporting Israel in her efforts for a peaceful existence, supporting the Ukraine in its fight to remain a free and independent country, and reclaiming the Crimean peninsula, sending troops and a stern message into Iraq, that ISIS is a terrorist organization and we will smash it, supporting the Syrian people who want to be free, and supporting the African continent by bringing to heel organizations like Boko Haram, and training and equipping African forces to help them support their countries.

Yes, America must stand up and be counted. The UN can be discounted, and discontinued, because it doesn’t do anything for world peace and stability. Only the US can, with help from our friends and allies. If we don’t stand up, we will be trod on. Our rights, our freedoms, and our liberties will be stomped on, all those which we have bought with our precious blood and treasure.

Dear Mr. President,

In 2008, you were elected on a platform of Hope and Change. You promised that your administration would be the most transparent one ever. You said that you would make sure that the government would be responsible to the people. You said you would work hard to make us one, end the divisiveness between races, between the haves and have-nots. You said you would be open to discussions with the leaders of the other parties.

Mr. President, you have failed. In contrast to transparency, your administration has intentionally obscured, obfuscated, or plainly denied, access to information concerning such things as Fast and Furious, VA, IRS, Benghazi, NSA, Bowe Bergdahl, budget calls, etc. In response to constituents demanding information, you have made sure that the intelligence agencies focus on the average citizen. Despite your claim to pull America together, Mr. President, you continually use the race card to decisively divide the country. You have tripled the national debt, while decreasing the average standard of living. Mr. President, you deny the average US citizen access to national parks, yet take expensive trips, day trips, to attend fundraisers. You claim you don’t do photo-ops on the border because you don’t want to politicize the issue, yet you have no problem taking time for a photo op with a beer and pool shooting for your fundraising.

Mr. President, you have been in office six years. It is time to act like a president. You must stand up and take your responsibilities seriously. Your constant ignoring of major issues, unless it fits a particular photo-opportunity, is causing serious domestic and foreign problems. The job of the president of the United States of America is to lead the country, to insure prosperity by working with all members of congress, to represent the US in international affairs, to be able to look other world leaders directly in the eye. Your job is to be the symbol of our great nation, to let the world know we are powerful, but we value our friends, and we face down our enemies. You are the person that is supposed to stand up, on domestic policies, for our people, our citizens of these United States, and make sure we have equal treatment for all. Your job is to face down big businesses that would take advantage of the people, support small businesses because they provide nearly 80 to 90 percent of jobs, to face down unions that would take advantage of their members, because unions are not supposed to be a political body; unions were developed to support the members. And your job is to also support those who do not wish to be part of a union, because we are all individuals, and we don’t all want to be part of something, no matter how well it’s organized.

In short, Mr. President, you are failing in all of your jobs. You have burdened us, the average US citizen, with a welfare system that is unsupportable, and forced a health care system on us that we can’t afford. You have left our borders porous, allowing anyone to enter with no worries about getting deported, at least for long. You have made it possible for people to be persecuted for their beliefs, and made it possible for criminals to go free. Your agencies prevent congress from finding the truth about the IRS scandal. The average 16-year old knows that emails are always backed up somewhere. After all, Yahoo! Has emails of mine dating back to 2003. If Yahoo! can do that, why can’t the IRS, who have a much bigger IT budget? Mr. President, you have failed us, and your allies.

Mr. President, you have failed the Hope and Change. Isn’t it time, Mr. President, that you and your administration do the country a favor, and resign. Not just you, Mr. President, but your vice-president, your chief of staff, your cabinet members, all of you. We couldn’t possibly do worse with the Speaker of the House as president. We can do better, though.

America, congress, freedom, justice, liberty, president, representatives, senators, USA

America’s economy is the worst it has ever been, outside of the ’30s. The US economy is trillions in debt. Millions of people are out of work, not even looking for a job. We currently have the highest number of people on welfare, ever. People who are working have part-time jobs, or the jobs are paying lower than they should be. Taxes are higher that they have been in years, to support an entitlement structure that awards those who won’t work, by taking from those who do. Health care is abysmal, because it costs too much. The Affordable Health Care Act has resulted in those with decent health care plans, losing those plans. There are agencies in the US government that are abusing their powers. We have illegal aliens massing on, and crossing, our borders, and the administration wishes to provide them with a comfortable life. But, congress and the president are now taking their summer break, ostensibly because of all the hard work the two groups have put in over the last four to five months. And let’s not forget: China now owns 22 Billion dollars of US real estate. CitiGroup has been fined seven billion dollars for its part in the mortgage debacle. Yet not a penny will go to those who have lost their homes through the major banks’ fiddling with the system. But, congress and the president are going on their summer break.

We must do something about this. Our first step should be, to go to our representatives and senators offices, and demand accountability for their lack of action. We must demand the congressmen and women meet with their citizens, and explain their actions or inactions during this latest session of congress. We must give these people, our elected representatives, our demands, and force them to take us seriously, and force them to take action. We must call, write, email, our elected representatives, and show them we care that there has been no action on the things we hold congress accountable for.

Alas, I don’t think this will happen. I don’t think, as a matter of fact, I know, that civics, and civic duties, are not taught in schools as they used to be in the past. The young voters of today, those 18 to 27 or 28, have not been taught that it is a responsibility of citizenship of this country, to take part in the civic process, not just by voting, but by being involved in that which is happening in your neighborhood, your town or city, and your country. No, there will only be the vocal few, the ones that know they can get their own ways by being in front of the congress as much as possible. The rest will talk about how hard it is to get information (in the information age), how much time it takes (though most can find time to head for the beach, or the club) or that nothing they say will mean anything (of course, the same people will spend all day talking about what they would do if they could). Now is the time to stand up, for, if not, you lose your chance to speak, maybe forever.

The USA is a country where anyone can achieve anything. We are a country where we are not afraid to speak our minds, and this is enshrined in our constitution. Yet, if we don’t speak up, if we don’t make our representatives in congress listen to us, we will lose. We will lose our freedoms, our liberty, and our sense for justice for everyone. And there will be an elite, made up of those from both sides of the aisles, who will force us to become, that which we fear: A country no different than any other dictatorship anywhere else in the world. We cannot let our light dull, we must continue to be the beacon for the rest of the world.

Our country was built by people who fled persecution in other countries. Our country was, and is, built on the concept that all people who live here, live here in freedom. We have paid the price, in blood, sweat, and tears, burying those who have fought for our freedoms and liberties. By allowing congress to not do their work, to let congress have free passes, when we have those who have watered the tree of Liberty and Freedom with the blood of their bodies, makes a mockery of their sacrifices. We must barrage our elected representatives to do what we sent them to Washington to do: Represent us, and fight for our rights. For if we do not, we, the electors of our freedom, will have caused those who died for us, those who shed their blood and bodies for our freedoms, to have sacrificed in vain.

Why Impeachment Is Not A Bad Idea

As I watch the current administration constantly abuse the rights of US citizens, making amazingly arrogant decisions to open our borders to those who mean harm to our country, ignoring and abusing our allies’ trust in us, and leaving our allies to fend for themselves, I wonder why impeachment hasn’t been implemented. Then, I listen to the talking heads on television, read the comments of “wise speakers” from both sides of the aisle, and I realize the reason. The Republicans are scared that maybe the democrats will play the race card and scare the American public even more.

This president and / or his administration and cabinet, have caused an astounding amount of serious damage to the national security of the US, infringed on the civil liberties of the average US citizen, and agencies headed by personnel selected by the president have infringed, intruded, obstructed, and caused irreparable harm to the US, its citizens, and its allies. As the chief executive of the United States, as commander in chief of the armed forces, and leader of the cabinet of secretaries that perform the administration of the executive branch of the federal government, the president is the person who is responsible for any and all actions by all agencies his personnel lead.

President Harry S. Truman had a famous sign on his desk: The Buck Stops Here! Harry felt that anything that happened in his administration, was his responsibility. He never shirked from doing the right thing, no matter how painful, and he took responsibility if something happened on his watch. John Kennedy felt the same way, accepting his role in the days of October, as well as accepting his role in the Bay of Pigs disaster. Richard Nixon opened relations with China, helped to bring an end to the Vietnam war, thawed relations with the Soviet Union, but Nixon was about to be impeached due to actions performed by his re-election campaign and the missing 18 minutes of recording in his office. Nixon did the honorable thing, and resigned, to prevent the country from being embroiled in a nasty fight. The country had only recently left the harsh and damaging 60s behind. Because of William Clinton’s wandering eye, impeachment proceedings were begun against him. Clinton knew that he was supposed to adhere to a higher standard, but could not stop himself from skirt-chasing. Clinton was impeached, not because of his lecherous habits, but because he lied under oath about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

Impeachment of the president is the tool that is available and used by the legislative branch of the federal government to stop the abuses of the executive branch. To wit: Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Also: In 1970, then Representative Gerald R. Ford defined impeachable offenses as “whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.” This president has, based on the above definitions, committed numerous impeachable offense, both high crimes, and misdemeanors.

Impeachment of the president has to be done. With a logical, reasonable, straight look at the activities of the president and his cabinet, obama has performed the most egregious examples of overreach of any president in history. Congress has a duty, and a right, to vote out the Articles of Impeachment to stop the overreach of the executive branch of the United States. The Republicans cannot let the shrieking cries of the television talking heads, as well as the murmurs from their backers, to hold them back from this effort. The Republicans must not listen to the left scream about “racial hatred” and “criticism of the president is treason”. Impeachment of the president is one of the tools that congress has to rein in the power of the presidency. The House of Representatives must use their powers to help correct the abuses of this administration. The House and the Senate must do their duties, despite what the left screams about. The representatives and the senators were elected to legislate laws for the American people. The representatives and senators should not listen to naysayers who would try to make a case that consideration of impeachment plays into democrats hands. Impeachment plays into no one’s hands, but represents the legislative branch’s authority to hold accountable a president that has attempted to set himself and his cabinet above the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights, and the people of these United States of America.

Pushing hillary (how the left is trying to build the former secretary of state up)

administration, cabinet, CIA, hillary, humanitarian, Madam Secretary, Morgan Freeman, presidential cabinet, secretary of state, statesman, stateswoman

First were the speaking engagements. Touring different places, trying to appear as the woman for all women, the put-upon but upheld wife of a former president that resurrected herself as a senator, then the third most powerful person on the planet…or so she would have you think. Next came the autobiography, extolling her virtues, showing her determined leadership, and her guidance of US foreign policy. Then the book tours to promote the same book, showing her “normal” side, how the Clintons were just another ordinary family.

Now, however, I do believe the left, the main stream media, and hollywood have finally managed to overstep and outdo themselves. Coming this fall: Madam Secretary, a series about a strong secretary of state. Amazing that this woman wears pantsuits, ignores her stylists, and always has something flippantly profound to say, with the appropriate sycophants hanging onto her every word. The question I have is: Where was this series when a more appropriate, more realistic woman secretary of state was in office?

For those who haven’t seen this, Madam Secretary is about a blond-haired, blue-eyed, pantsuit wearing woman, who is strong and stalwart. Well, the only things she has in common with hillary is the blond hair, blue eyes, and pantsuits. A more appropriate Madam Secretary should have had Angela Bassett playing the part of Condoleezza Rice, a true hard working, hard charging secretary of state. But, unfortunately for the elitist in hollywood, Miss Rice worked for a Republican president, which tainted her as unpure. Forget about the rhetoric of the left looking out for minorities; if that had been true, the left and the democrats would have been crowing loud and hardy for GW since he appointed, to two of the TOP three positions in his administration, a black man and a black woman. Colin Powell, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was GW’s first secretary of state, a man with such honor, the Queen of England knighted him. Condoleezza Rice was appointed his National Security Advisor, the person who advised him on national and international security issues, and acted as his eyes and ears, meeting heads of state in his place. Both of these people were extremely well liked and well respected in the international community, as both had been there and done that, and had the experience, and the wisdom, needed.

Instead, we have a concocted series to force a favorable impression of hillary, planted to run for at least a year prior hillary’s attempted run for the white house. The network that plans on running this farce, CBS, had to wait until hillary left office. Had they attempted to run the series while hillary was secretary of state, the laughing and howls would have been sufficient to merit the series winning the Emmy for best comedy. As it stands, this will be the longest running political ad for a candidate ever. The differences between the two woman, hillary, and the character Elizabeth McCord extend to the way they have arrived at their prospective jobs. hillary was escorted to the position as a sop to her for throwing her weight behind obama’s campaign. Elizabeth is a former CIA operative and professor. Since we know that hillary’s closest brush with danger was ducking snipers on a Kosovo tour…oh yeah, that didn’t happen, did it? Okay, on her trips to Iraq and Afghanistan in…when did she actually come and do something in South West Asia?

The truth of the matter is that hillary’s boosters are trying every possible way to make hillary look more statesman (or stateswoman) like, including putting together a series about a fictional secretary of state that would shine on hillary. The executive producer for this series, Morgan Freeman, is a great person. To have such a great actor, director, and producer behind something such as this, while ignoring the contributions of people like Rice and Powell, shows the problem of the left. Mr. Freeman, himself a prominent black American, for some reason, is ignoring the contributions of people of color, fellow black Americans who have contributed greatly to this country’s stability, leadership, and prosperity, in favor of someone who blindly turns their eyes away from the issues and problems affecting not only this country, but this planet.

I like Mr. Morgan Freeman. He has played some marvelous roles, he has directed some wonderful movies, he is a wonderful humanitarian, and a great businessman. But in this instance, Mr. Freeman has faltered enormously. Mr. Freeman is attempting to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, trying to find the diamond in the mud. If Mr. Freeman were truly looking to put a factual account of the secretary of state’s activities, he should have pushed to have the person as a black secretary of state. Miss Rice does have all those qualities, except for the family part. By continuing to help perpetrate the myth of hillary, Mr. Freeman is giving in to the lie of the democrats and to their agenda to continue to lie to the US people. Mr. Freeman, I have a higher opinion of you than that. I respectfully request you pull yourself from supporting something that does not help anyone, and puts the wrong people in a favorable light.

Civil Rights Act: Who Protects It More?

Civil Rights Act, CRA, democrats, I Have A Dream, Johnson, Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Republican

I find it pretty amazing when I watched the democrats try to take responsibility for the passing of the Civil Rights Act.  Dr. Martin Luther King led many a demonstration in the hopes of having the government enforce the Bill of Rights for all people of the United States.  When the doctor gave his speech in Washington, DC, on that hot August day, fifty years ago, he wasn’t talking about states with republican governors.  He wasn’t referring to districts that were republican.

In 1963, President Kennedy announced his plans to enact a sweeping supporting legislation for civil rights.  After his assassination, President Johnson decided to do something that his party did not want done.  But to achieve this landmark decision, to get this law done, LBJ approached those who had been championing equal rights, and the rights for every individual to achieve their dreams: the Republican Party.  Although a bunch of southern senators, democrats, filibustered the measure, the republicans managed to get enough votes, working with LBJ, to get this historic measure passed.

Even though the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, those southern senators, and southern governors, all democrats, still fought against equality for all.  Governor Wallace of Alabama, a prominent democrat, fought hard to stop the Civil Rights Act, and fought hard against desegregation.  Other prominent democrats, in the north and south, fought against the removal of an institution that had been in place since reconstruction, and was predicated on keeping the black American in “his place”.  Yet, the Republicans fought hard to insure that all men, especially former slaves, black Americans, received equal treatment, and had equal rights under the law.  From Abraham Lincoln to George Bush, Republicans have always worked hard to insure that everyone was treated equally and fair.

The Republican party has always been a staunch defender of the American people, their rights, and their liberties.  We must continue to defend these rights, insuring that our children, and our children’s children, are born free, able to pursue their dreams, with the love of family, and without fear of persecution or trial.

The Republican Party: Time to Move Forward…

administration, congress, democrats, media, One Platform, One Voice, people, Republican Party, senate, spokesman, TEA Party

The Republican Party is the true party of the people. The Republican Party, just like the Republic, for which we stand, stands for independence of the individual, the right to pursue your dreams, without interference or intrusion by the government. Unfortunately, the Republican Party is suffering a crisis of identity, spurred on by the mainstream media.

The Republican Party has been about lifting yourself up and improving yourself. The party has been about helping those who Want to help themselves. The party has never, or it used to have never been, about giving something to someone who can help themselves. The Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party is the part of the Republican Party that says, Enough Already!! The TEA Party is not another party, trying to face down the two mainstream parties. As such, the TEA Party should be working with the rest of the Republican Party on a platform that encompasses the beliefs, ideas, and goals of the Republican Party as they should. And there’s a good reason why I say this.

The Republican and TEA party are currently being defined, not by their platforms, but by the Democrat Party. The democrats are consolidating all of their mainstream media activists, as well as their local, state, and national mouthpieces, into one voice, constantly shouting the negatives, falsely, of what the Republican and TEA party groups are. The democrats are working to increase the divisions between the two groups, actively working to make people think the Republican Party is disjointed, anti-civil liberty, anti-poor, anti-everything. Instead of working together to counter this onslaught, the two groups are actively reinforcing the claims of the democrats, effectively sabotaging their own efforts to build a solid base and fight the democrats’ attacks.

The Republican and TEA party MUST put aside their petty concerns, their desire for one-upmanship, and their shrill attacks against each other. These attacks serve not the Republican or TEA party. These attacks against each other serve the democrats. In a time when we are rapidly having the democrats perform slash and burn against the freedoms and rights our forefathers fought and died, both here and abroad for, the divisions that the democrats have foisted on our party is leaving the Republican party weak and defenseless, with the leaders of the parties attacking each other. In the meantime, the democrats are rallying around and defending one person, providing a strong support for that person.

Here’s the game plan that the Republican and TEA party need to follow:
1. Select one person to stand behind. All of the main Republican leaders believe in the same things. Determine the most prominent, most effective, and best speaker among the group be selected as the leader and rally behind this person, male or female. This person would be the spokesman for the party, as well as the person that would help determine policy directions on the local, state, and federal platforms. Everyone would need to get behind this person.

2. Develop a platform that encompasses the ideals and goals of the party. This platform must be a middle of the road, moderate, platform, that shows good values and can appeal to a broad range of the party. This development is not difficult to achieve. The first step is to remove egos, and senses of entitlements, from the development.

3. Develop the message. That means insuring that the media has the message. There are media organizations that will send out our message. But, we must have a coordinated, concerted, directed message that can be understood. This also means that the people designated to speak the message, always coordinates the message. This also means getting the message out, not just to the core of the party, but to those you want to bring into the party. This means going places that the party hasn’t gone before. This means talking to people who believe the government is helping them, but is really keeping them down, whether they’re in the inner cities, or in the rural areas living in a mobile home. We are all Americans, and we should all hear the message properly.

4. We should have the one voice attacking the negative images that are being shown of the party. That means attacking those who would denigrate us. That means no longer turning the other cheek. Yes, the good book says, if someone would strike you, turn the other cheek. However, the same book says we must protect ourselves and those who cannot protect themselves. In the same book, it says, he shall help those, who help themselves. Let us help ourselves, and move our country forward.

Yes, these are the same plays from the playbook of the democrats. And the democrats are using these procedures to destroy all of our candidates. And we are assisting them in this, when we should be fighting as hard as possible. Fighting this does not mean individual attacks against a monolithic target. Guerilla tactics only work when you have a chance of causing damage to the ones you’re attacking. Guerilla tactics only work in real warfare. For what the party needs, we need to be organized. We need to have the TEA and Republican party reunited.

If we are going to squabble, argue, and fight among ourselves, we will continue to lose. We will lose not just senate and congressional seats, but the respect of citizens, and cause more people to leave the party. One thing I have found, in talking with everyone who have voted in the last several elections, is that people have had no faith in our party. Although the people have no faith in the current administration, and in the democrat party, because we refuse to be one party, fighting each other instead of our common foe, the people who voted see our party as weak and divided, with no clue of what to do. We need to be one party, with one voice, and one platform. Or we should just give up and become democrats.

I, for one, don’t think so.

obama’s domestic policy…or lack thereof…

barack obama, Border Patrol, borders, Customs and Border Patrol, illegal aliens, military, NORTHCOM, obama, Posse' Comitatus, president, SOUTHCOM

The current administration’s domestic policy seems to be to beggar the average American, enable illegal aliens to have access to programs the average middle-class American has to pay for, cripple the education system through common core, and, in general, bankrupt the US through ineptness and ignorance.

The administration’s policies have led to such catastrophes like the affordable care act. Instead of focusing on the reasons for unaffordable health care, such as hospital, patient care, and drug costs, and the health care industry’s use of administrative people to ratchet up costs at hospitals and health care providers, this administration has decided to punish those who have need for access to health care, the actual patients and consumers. Instead of concentrating on energy independence by supporting our environmentally-efficient coal and oil industries, this administration is concentrating on impeding those industries, while attempting to promote expensive and unproven technologies such as wind and solar energy. Instead of promoting good jobs in the US, this administration has been working on taxing to the ultimate those companies in the US, forcing the same companies to move overseas, taking their tax revenue and jobs elsewhere.

The latest disaster from this administration is the border crisis. Currently, there are thousands of children coming across the border illegally, getting access through a loophole in the current laws. Currently, Other Than Mexican (OTM) children are allowed to remain until a hearing has been held to determine the children’s status. This allows the children to come here, be “reunited” with family members, given a court date, and the family disappears, generally forever. This loophole is giving thousands of children a path to the US, through treacherous areas filled with sex slavers, rapists, thieves, and murderers, in the hopes of being able to live in the US. The reality is, whose is it to say those “family members” are really family? They could be more of the same, and this would be their way to have obama and his crew recruit young children to be able to pander the children.

barack obama has the capability to close this loophole, and to reinforce the border with National Guard and even active duty troops. Actually, putting US troops along the southern border doesn’t even require a presidential order or congressional acts. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, and as amended in 1981, prevents use of the military to enforce laws and act as law enforcement except in cases of violence and violations of citizens’ constitutional rights, within the US. Due to the nature of the border, because it is a border, the commander of NORTHCOM and SOUTHCOM can detail units to patrol and defend the north and south borders, and prevent entry into the US. The Border Patrol’s mandate is to arrest those who cross the border, and to help reinforce and prevent border penetrations.

Congress can authorize the necessary funding to allow the US military to perform this duty, if necessary, from either emergency funding to the Defense Appropriations Act, or enable a Emergency Continuing Resolution to fund the patrolling of the border. If the military decides to use the patrolling as an opportunity for training and actual work, the funding actually comes from the Defense Appropriations Act without requiring additional funding, due to training.

It is actually NORTHCOM and SOUTHCOM’s responsibility to enforce the border, and again, does not require congressional or presidential intervention. Since defending the border is an actual function of the US military, and a requirement of the duties of the US Department Of Defense. The US military should step in and do its job, and allow the politicians to work out the deportation of those who are illegally in this country. This will also prevent drug smugglers from entering the US through other than air and sea ports, where Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, as well as the DEA and Border Patrol, would be better situated to capture those people.
I believe this is a simple and a correct solution to ending the chaos at our southern border, and prevent others from exploiting children and juveniles from other countries for their own ends.

America, the greatest country on the planet…

America is a country of great dreams, great ideas, great wrongs, and great rights.  Our great dreams are peace and prosperity for all who want to work towards those goals, denying none the opportunity.  Our great ideas are the ideas of each individual to live a life of liberty in the pursuit of happiness, with none saying us nay, to pursue whatever we wish, and to prosper as we best we can on our own merit.  Our great wrongs have been in denial of rights to segmented populations, but unlike other countries, this was a partial denial.  Partial in that those who would be denied their rights in one place, moved to another and pursued their dreams without having to leave their country.  Most of all, our country is a country of great rights, and our constitution and our way of government insures that every individual, every single citizen of these United States of America, live free, with the right to be born in poverty and be able to have a good education, become a member of the greatest military on the planet, all volunteer, pursue any career they wish,  love and marry anyone they want, achieve the highest office in the land, without the fear of being ostracized or denied these rights.

We have had our dark periods in our country’s history.  Yet, for a country that is only 250 or so years old, so young, most European, Middle East, African and Asian countries think of us as children, we have achieved that dream most other countries can only dream of.  Yes, we have denied franchise to several classes of citizens.  But, unlike India, China, France, we have a system of checks and balances that struck down those laws and acts that denied the franchises, and have lifted every citizen to the same level. This didn’t take centuries.  This didn’t take negotiating with monarchs, nobles, and peasants.  This was done by the people of these United States, the citizens, these are the ones who said, enough is enough!!  We don’t have military coups, because we have written into our laws that the military is subordinate to civilian control.  We have orderly processes to insure the continuity of our way of life.  And we know that we have our ability to change our own destiny.

These are the reasons we love the United States of America.  Even in our darkest hours, we have stood together, shoulder to shoulder, for liberty, for freedom, for the rights we were born to have.  Nowhere else in the world can you have such a diversity of people, coming together to form a more perfect union.

“In France, your family can have lived there for 200 years, and you will still be considered a foreigner. In Germany, someone can emigrate from Asia 400 years before, and not be considered German.  In Saudi  Arabia, someone can trace their family back 300 years, but they will not be considered Saudi…Yet, In the United States of America, someone can emigrate to the US, get their green card, then get Naturalized, and will forever more be known as American.”

That is why this is the greatest country, with the greatest citizens, on this planet.

Illegal aliens, or as the Main Stream Media likes to call them: Undocumented immigrants…

The problem of illegal aliens has been around for some time. Trying to stem the flow of illegal aliens pouring across the border should be one of the top priorities of this administration. The white house should be working hand-in-glove with congress to resolve the situation. In any other country, the border would be manned by the military, border crossings would be guarded and crossers would face in-depth scrutiny, and anyone picked up sneaking across the border would be jailed and deported, sometimes after lengthy and unpleasant jail terms.

In this country, the federal government interdicts local and state government, preventing incarceration and deportation of illegal aliens. The federal government is busy moving illegal aliens around the country, providing free medical care, and free housing, for these illegals. The president refuses to take responsibility for his actions. And, because the congress, the legislative body of the United States government, is not taking any actions due to the president’s refusal to sit down with congress and discuss options, obama has decided he can take executive action.

Illegal aliens do not have any rights under the US constitution. The only obligation the US has, is to deport those people as soon as they arrive, not allow appeal after appeal after appeal. No other country on the planet allows such as this. If someone wants shelter in another country, there is usually refugee status they can achieve. Of course, that means following the legal path, which we have true immigrants doing every day. We cannot allow others to skip to the head of the line on their ability to sneak across the border. We are doing a disservice, not only to those who applied, waited for sometimes years, and finally made it here, but those who came through Ellis Island, suffering through their own deprivations and problems before arriving here.

This president, more than any other, should be hard at work on securing our border. The son of an African father and US mother, obama should understand the issues of illegal aliens, and the problems illegal aliens caused. After all, obama spent considerable time with his mother in other countries that were plagued with those issues, with the result of seeing illegals living in abject poverty. That alone should have reinforced his desire to maintain the US’ sovereignty. Instead, obama is attempting to destroy our borders and unstem the flow, virtually putting the US under siege from various groups that want to invade, yes, invade our country.

If obama doesn’t pull back from the precipice of unlimited illegal aliens, we may well be in the position of being unable, not unwilling, but unable, to secure our borders against a true invasion against someone who wants to do us serious harm. Others may scoff, but I leave you with this thought:

If we can’t stop a bunch of children from illegally entering our country because we’re not protecting our borders, how are we going to stop a real army division complete with tanks and armored personnel carriers? The Border Patrol only have SUVs.
